Also known as Crocosmia, this bold and beautiful perennial belongs to the iris family and grows in upright clumps with long arching flower spikes. Each stem bursts into vibrant red-orange blossoms that attract hummingbirds and pollinators all summer long. Montbretia is a striking addition to perennial beds and ornamental landscapes and thrives in a wide range of growing conditions. It readily naturalises in the garden and is easily divided once established.

Where Can You Grow Montbretia?

Montbretia grows best in Zones 5-9, preferring full sun and well-drained soil. It performs well in both garden beds and containers, especially in sheltered sunny spots.
